What Are Xtream Codes?
Xtream Codes is one of the most common ways IPTV providers deliver a library. Here's what the login details actually do.
Xtream Codes refers to a widely used panel/API system that IPTV providers run to manage and deliver their content. As a customer, you don't interact with the panel itself — you're given three details: a server address (host), a username, and a password. Those three pieces are what a compatible player uses to sign in and pull your library.
How it's different from a plain M3U link
A plain M3U link gives a player a flat list of streams and not much else. Xtream Codes logins work through an API, which typically returns much richer, better-structured data — proper categories, separate handling for Live TV, Movies, and Series, artwork, and metadata like descriptions and air dates. That's why an Xtream login often produces a noticeably more organized library than a basic playlist from the same provider.
The three fields, explained
- Server / host — the address the player connects to, usually a URL with a port number.
- Username — your account identifier with that provider.
- Password — your account password with that provider.
Using Xtream Codes with MigFLIX
