What Is a Single Stream URL (and When to Use One)?
Not every source is a full provider library. Sometimes you just have one link — here's how that works.
A single stream URL is exactly what it sounds like: one direct link to one stream, rather than a playlist listing dozens or thousands of channels and titles. You might get one from a friend, find one for a specific event, or have a personal camera or device that streams to a URL.
Why it's handled differently from a playlist
Importing an entire provider library just to watch one stream is overkill — it means building out categories, artwork, and metadata for a single entry. A single-stream source skips all of that and gets straight to playback.
Adding a single stream in MigFLIX
Add the URL directly as its own source, without needing a full Xtream login or M3U playlist first. It shows up alongside your other sources, with the same player and controls, just without the browsing structure a full library would have.
Compatible formats
Compatible single-stream and M3U8/HLS links work through the same pipeline as playlist entries — see our guide on M3U vs M3U8 for how those formats relate.
