How to Play Local Video and Playlist Files
Not everything has to come from a provider link. Here's how local video files and local playlist files fit into MigFLIX.
Not every source lives online. You might have a video already saved on your device, or a playlist file someone sent you directly rather than a hosted link. MigFLIX handles both without needing a workaround.
Local video files
Open a video that's already on your device and play it right alongside your streaming sources — no separate app, no switching context. It behaves like any other title in MigFLIX: same player, same controls.
Local playlist files
If you have an M3U or M3U8 file saved locally rather than a URL to paste in, you can import it directly from your device. MigFLIX builds a library from the file the same way it would from a link — the only difference is where the playlist came from. Keep in mind a local file is a snapshot: if the provider updates the playlist online, you'll need to re-import a fresh copy to see those changes.
When this is the better option
Local files are useful when you don't want to depend on a live connection to a hosted playlist, when a provider only gives out a downloadable file, or simply when you want a personal video available without hunting for it in another app.
